Lundy Canyon is a hidden gem off Highway 395, which is currently my favorite highway. Stark moon-like landscapes and craggly white-capped mountains are the norm out here. Lundy Canyon is a magnificent piece of this landscape, with awesomely-jagged peaks with lines of rusty red and ochre brown scree fields cascading down the slopes. This photo was taken on a challenging and scenic hike up Lundy canyon up to Helen Lake, and this was one of many fun shots of the surrounding crags.
